Rob is the Founder and Managing Partner at Hillfarrance Venture Capital and an entrepreneur-turned-VC who has been investing at the frontiers of enterprise technology since 2014.
Prior to creating Hillfarrance, Rob was the Founding Partner of one of Los Angeles’ most active enterprise software venture funds, Stage Venture Partners.
At Stage he invested multiple rounds of capital into 23 seed stage companies from across the globe and raised three funds. He has served on the boards of Kuona, Spidr Tech and Storyblaster, and is a mentor at TechStars and Bunker Labs, a Global Ambassador for BAFTA, and an EHF Fellow.
Before joining the world of venture capital he held a number of executive roles within large financial institutions in the UK and the US, pioneering new distribution channels and making and managing large-scale technology investments.
He also created entrepreneurship academies at two of Los Angeles’ most challenging schools and coached, one-on-one, hundreds of incarcerated individuals in the California penitentiary system.
At his core is his whānau, and there is nothing more he enjoys than exploring the world with his wife and son. He is also a keen amateur paleontologist, an avid gamer and lover of the great outdoors.
